Mixing is finally finished on Lindsay Broughton’s debut CD ! The first single “Holdin On To You” has just been released to radio in Canada. Lindsay returns after a successful show at The Rutledge in Nashville and has upcoming performances during CMW (Canadian Music Week), as well as an opening slot with Emerson Drive March 15th. The Walkers continue to write for their upcoming project that should start near the end of summer.
Final mixing on The Walkers demos is done. Jenna & Stuart have come up with some creative and moving songs as they prepare to go back to Nashville for more writing. Look for them in early 2012.
Mixing on Lindsay Broughton’s debut CD is almost complete. The usual promo and radio tour is in the planning and the CD should be available in the first quarter of 2012.
Work on Lindsay Broughton’s debut recording has entered the final stages – editing, background vocals, pre-mixing, more editing, moving parts around, comping more vocals and a whole slew of final details are filling up the days and nights. There has even been more writing to see if we can beat anything on the record, but everyone seems happy about the song selections so far. Two years ago this August we started recording Lindsay’s record – a lot of patience has also been recorded.
The Walkers, Jenna and Stu are in Nashville writing up a storm, or at least that’s what I’m told. This is their first trip to the ‘buckle of the bible belt’ and they are writing with some pretty cool writers: Robert Ellis Orrall (Taylor Swift, Reba, Martina McBride), Stephen Barker Liles (Love and Theft), Denny Carr (Doc Walker, Jason McCoy, The Roadhammers), Josh Osborne (Lindsay Broughton, Chris Young, rsp recording artist) and Trevor Rosen (Shanna Crooks, Lindsay Broughton, Chris Young).
winter in canada. getting lindsay’s songs in some kind of order – tracking drums and bass in nashville, vocals in toronto, keyboards and strings in santa clarita and maybe even a background vocal or two at the cottage.
trips to cambridge ontario in the snow to meet with the walkers about jenna and stu starting to write for their first record. also, talks about the reality tv show that will begin production in the summer. guess the recording will be real reality by the end of the year.
